Balsamic turpentine oil

Balsamic turpentine oil is a natural solvent that is obtained by repeated distillation (recification) of coniferous wood resins. Linseed oil varnish can be diluted with balsamic turpentine oil in a ratio of 1:1 to half oil. This allows the quick-drying varnish to penetrate deeper into the wood. Balsamic turpentine oil is used to dilute linseed oil paints.
