Citrus terpene

available

Like balsamic turpentine oil, citrus terpenes can be used to dilute colours and dissolve resins. Citrus terpene has a pleasant orange odour as it is obtained from the distillation of orange peel. It is also particularly suitable for ecological wood coatings. It is absolutely CO2 neutral, as it only releases as much CO2 as it has absorbed during growth.

Our citrus terpene is a purely natural product. Citrus terpenes are obtained by distilling the peel of citrus fruits. If this were not done, the terpenes would be released unused to rot. The use of citrus terpenes therefore does not result in any additional hydrocarbons/CO2 being released into the atmosphere. In some countries, citrus terpenes are therefore not counted as regulated VOCs. Both substances have a medium volatility and therefore give the wood varnish or primer more time to penetrate. Although citrus terpenes are a purely natural product, they must be well ventilated when used indoors. Like all solvents, whether odourless such as bezines (aliphatic hydrocarbons) or essential oils such as balsamic turpentine and citrus terpenes, they can be harmful to health in high concentrations. With natural solvents, you can smell the danger and take countermeasures.
